Ductile Iron Access Hatches – 250 kN | EN 124-2 Certified
Our ductile iron manhole covers are equipped with solid top covers and designed to withstand loads up to 250 kN, fully compliant with the EN 124-2 standard. These access covers ensure durability, safety, and long-term performance in demanding environments.
The PTVAA range of locked, hinged and lift-assisted access covers is specifically engineered for installation in dry network chambers, including telecommunications and fibre optic infrastructures. These access hatches are also suitable for a wide variety of underground structures, offering reliable and secure access solutions.
Each access hatch is supplied as standard with a ¼ turn locking device, ensuring easy operation, enhanced security, and efficient maintenance access.

Complies with the requirements of EN-124-2 standard. Third-party certified with TÜV SÜD Industrie Service GmbH mark.
Place of use
C250 : For gully tops installed in the area of kerbside channels of roads which when measured from the kerb edge, extend a maximum of 0,5m into the carriageway and a maximum of 0,2m into the footway.
Material
Hatch Cover(s) – Spheroidal (ductile) cast iron EN-GJS-500-7.
Finished by water based black paint, environmentally friendly.
Hatch Frame – Steel hot-dip galvanized,
average thickness 90µm according to ISO 1461.
