PCVA | Hinged Ductile Iron Access Hatch – 400 kN | EN 124-2 Certified
The PCVA range of hinged ductile iron access hatches is designed for demanding road and underground utility applications.
Certified to load class D400 in accordance with EN 124-2, the PCVA provides a robust and durable access solution for carriageways, hard shoulders and parking areas used by all types of road vehicles.
The access hatch features solid-top triangular ductile iron covers combined with a hot-dip galvanised steel frame. Their three-point suspension provides a non-rocking design and high stability under heavy traffic conditions.
The P range is particularly suitable for district heating, district cooling, hot-water and steam distribution networks, thanks to its large clear opening.
Each hatch is equipped as standard with a quarter-turn locking device.

Main features
- ¼ turn locking device with stainless steel H22 hex. head (other head types available upon request).
- Stainless steel hardware and fasteners.
- Safety blocking device to prevent accidental cover closure.
Certification
Complies with the requirements of EN-124-2 standard. Third-party certified with TÜV SÜD Industrie Service GmbH mark.
Place of use
D400 : Carriageways of roads (including pedestrian streets), hard shoulders and parking areas, for all types of road vehicles.
Material
- Hatch Cover(s) : Ductile Iron EN-GJS-500-7. Finished by water based black paint, environmentally friendly.
- Hatch Frame : Hot-dip galvanized steel, average thickness 90µm according to ISO 1461.
