LCV | Lockable Ductile Iron Access Hatch – 400 kN | EN 124-2 Certified

The LCV range of lockable ductile iron access hatches is designed for demanding road and underground utility applications.

Certified to load class D400 in accordance with EN 124-2, the LCV provides a robust and durable access solution for carriageways, hard shoulders and parking areas used by all types of road vehicles.

The access hatch features solid-top triangular ductile iron covers combined with a hot-dip galvanised steel frame. Their three-point suspension provides a non-rocking design and high stability under heavy traffic conditions.

Particularly suitable for telecommunications, fibre-optic and other utility networks, the LCV range is also designed for a wide variety of underground structures.

Each hatch is equipped as standard with a quarter-turn locking device.

Place of use

D400 : Carriageways of roads (including pedestrian streets), hard shoulders and parking areas, for all types of road vehicles.

Material

  • Hatch Cover(s) : Ductile Iron EN-GJS-500-7. Finished by water based black paint, environmentally friendly.
  • Hatch Frame : Steel hot-dip galvanized, average thickness 90µm according to ISO 1461.
  • Fall Safety Mesh Grating : Mesh of 50 x 50 mm. Steel hot-dip galvanized, average thickness 90µm according to ISO 1461.
