Luxembourg (CH) tramway construction

SOVAL took part in the project to create and extend the Luxembourg City tramway, 50 years after its dismantlement. This was a major challenge, particularly in a dense urban area, involving the diversion of all underground networks and the creation of new ones (utilities, fiber optic, lighting) as part of the city’s major development.

Products: Hinged and lift assisted recessed infill access covers made of steel hot-dip galvanized with stainless steel fall safety grids.

The aim was to provide a network coverage and access solution that would blend in the urban environment, incorporating innovative design, lift assistance in accordance with manual handling regulations and burglar-proof locking solution.

This access hatch solution gives network operators access to units that can withstand 400kN, are identifiable, can be customized to suit the size of the underground structure and the buried network, incorporate safety and bespoke security features.

Networks – Havana Club distillery (Cuba) As part of its growth, Havana Club, a distillery and rumery in Cuba, has started constructing additional structures. Vonroll Hydro and Soval Export’s partnership enabled the delivery and installation of ductile cast iron pipes and fittings with the “FM Approval” label for sanitation and fire protection.
