TITAN 1000 – Ductile Iron Access Hatches – 400 kN | EN 124-2 Certified

The TITAN 1000 is a multipurpose ductile iron access hatch designed for industrial and infrastructure applications. Equipped with solid top covers rated at 400kN according to EN 124-2, this hinged, lift-assisted, and lockable hatch ensures secure access to underground structures up to 1 metre wide. It complements our D400 multi-leaf covers for comprehensive coverage and protection.

Material

Hatch Cover(s) – Spheroidal cast iron (ductile) EN-GJS-500-7.
Finished by water based black paint, environmentally friendly.
Hatch Frame – Steel hot-dip galvanized,
average thickness 90µm according to ISO 1461.

Assist lift

Effortless opening and closing allowing a single-person operation with assist lift covers. Users can choose from a range of options: :

  • Reinforced steel gas strut
  • (option) Stainless steel gas strut
  • (option) Stainless steel spring

Slam lock - Automatic burglar-proof "Pushed & Slammed "

Titan 1000 is equipped with a slam-lock system on each lid:

  • Burglar-proof, through-and-through design
  • Automatic reset of the lock at closing
  • Ergonomic key with 2 features: locking/unlocking and handling in operation

Bespoke

The covers are coated with water based black paint.
As an option we offer a topcoating colored polyester paint – RAL color on request.
On request, each cover can be tailor-made with :

  • A special badging & marking embossed and molded in the raw material
  • A stainless steel plate

(option) Runoff watertightness / odortight

Each cover is equipped with an EPDM gasket fastened with stainless steel screws.
Runoff watertightness is achieved by the addition of crossbeams and 6 stainless steel compression bolts per cover.
